Gambier Island/Harsh Barge

went to Gambier Island for Dawdaw's birthday, it was real fun. we got soaked the second night but that was ok. met this dude that took us on a barge ride and we swam and did party. summers over, time to blog.

SPIRALS

The lack of doodles/art junk I've been posting can pretty much directly be attributed to the ammount of time I've been spending learning to play guitar and write riffs. My band Spirals played two shows last week, one with The Boogieman and Needles//Pins, the second one with The Get Down and the almighty Barnburner. Nice to see those BB dudes again, and even radder to share the stage with the dude that got me stoked on playing guitar in the first place.
Also I recently picked up a 70's National Les Paul copy and a Boss HM-2 to make my Ampeg sound more like my Sunn. Apparently diverting my nerdery away from toys and into old gear. Great, a more expensive version of hording that features larger items of clutter. Fingers crossed for the best.
